Research and development

Make the framework testable.

DRL begins as a practice-grounded proposal. Its scientific value will depend on transparent comparison, controlled versions, external scrutiny and evidence about how the instrument behaves in use.

Framework proposal

White paper, scoring instrument and canvas published as version 1.0.

In development

Scientific papers

Methodological positioning, validation design and applied studies are being prepared. No peer-reviewed DRL paper has yet been published.

Planned

Observed use

Retrospective cases, independent raters and prospective programme use will provide the evidence needed to refine the method.

Validation programme

Five stages, accumulating evidence

  1. 01

    Scholarly grounding

Correct and deepen the relationship between DRL and established readiness, biomarker, evidence and implementation frameworks.

  2. 02

    Content validity and usability

Test whether the streams, levels, gates and evidence artefacts are relevant, clear and usable across diagnostic-development settings.

  3. 03

    Retrospective case application

Apply DRL to completed programmes to see whether it identifies known bottlenecks and decision points.

  4. 04

    Measurement performance

Study inter-rater agreement, classification behaviour, conditional gates and the distinction between missing evidence and failed readiness.

  5. 05

    Prospective evaluation

Examine whether repeated DRL use improves programme coordination, evidence planning or investment and governance decisions.

Publication architecture

A home for successive releases.

This site is designed to hold the framework’s intellectual record as it develops.

Future white papers and scientific papers will be published here with their status, date, citation and relationship to the instrument version they discuss. Superseded releases will remain identifiable rather than silently overwritten.

The current public corpus is DRL v1.0. Publication listings will be added when papers or successor releases actually exist.
